"With Driving Passion, All Things Exsist."

About

About the Artist:

Alexander George McCue grew up in The Springs. East Hampton NY.  Living only a walk away from DeKooning, and the Pollack Krasner house; there is no wonder why he found a fascination at an early age to Art.  It all began at the age of 14, with a strong devotion to using oils right from the start.  With time, practice and influence, his art grows. Attempting to diary each person, place and moment encountered.

Alexander is constantly providing work that is true expressions of his inner, deepest emotion and thoughts.  By blending his constant changing influences with his own heavy abstract hand. There stands a strong expression of the artist’s opinion and the sense of true pride to one’s own passion.

Words from the Artist:

Each painting is bound with the idea that each stroke, each color, has a sense of absolute just, or purpose.  Each a reflection, a personal enquiry to ones' own existence...Or some may see it as just a bunch of shapes or shades, with a bit of thought that looks "really nice."  Either way, it’s left up to the viewer to decide. I am just the author... Like a writer who attempts to define "Home."  I ask myself "What is beauty?" I attempt to capture it when it takes shape.  For this, I like to believe beauty can change.  That it is formless; at constant change, springing to form any person, place, or thing at any given time.

Given the circumstances, and given the one who is viewing. All things are abstract, and yet concrete; a contradiction or a paradox. Almost like an ongoing play, or dance of two opposites.  A whirl of passion, that is painting. Passion, being the driving force or catylst to my creations.
